after 100 hours, the meridian g08 has completely smoked the meridian 508.24 (my previous cdp) and left the latter bleeding in the alley, picked it up and then dropped it in the morgue!

it is such an fucking amazing cdp. i can never imagine cd player can improve to such an extent. who says the potential of cd player has been maximized? you ain't hear nothing yet.

it has a big tone - rich, lush, supple and full. it is harmonically rich and wealthy. it has a rich texture and an exquisite tonal quality.

look at it this way - music thru the g08 is like a sonic woven fabric which if you can pull and stretch in whichever manner you like and yet it retains the elasticity and texture. or put in another way - there is so much texture and pull-and-stretch "action" in the music that mimics a fine fabric.

i haven't even mentioned the highs, mids and lows yet.

THREE WORDS SUM IT ALL - TONE, TEXTURE, ORGANIC
